John and Marcia Evans opened their home in the suburbs to adults with delayed development. Their goal was to enjoy their company and fill the need for relationships. As God grew their hearts, and ushered their steps, they saw the great need to do more. They followed God’s leading and purchased a farm in Allendale, MI. John recalls this affirmation:

 

“One morning I was entering the back door of our new home and the Lord firmly communicated to me that I was to take my shoes off and that this was His home and He was inviting us to live with Him … not the other way around. We were moving in with our perfect Father, and the future was His.”

 

This move allows a deeper experience for their guests. During this time, they were able to assess their calling and develop programs for more specific needs.
